A CT Trails Weekend Hike

Challenging hike up Rixtown Mt. in honor of our 50th anniversary with views and a quarry, then through a chestnut oak forest to Avalonia’s Lost Pond, hiking over two old stone dams. Remarkable stone walls and other structures are found along the entire trail. Please bring water and a cell phone. The entire loop hike requires the ability to climb about 60 flights of stairs over 2 hours.
